    Fold the A series

    Each A size is half of the one before, with the same shape: the long side divided by the short side is always the square root of 2. A0 is one square metre.

    Sheets or pages?

    One sheet has two sides, so it holds two pages. Slide to count.

    What the grams mean

    Grams per square metre (g/m², or gsm) is the weight of one square metre of the paper. Heavier paper usually feels thicker and lets less writing show through.

    80 g/m²

    Stone paper: 80% mineral powder bound with 20% HDPE, smooth and tree-free.

    Light paper for notepads and conference pads.

    The everyday notebook weight, and the most common in our range.

    A little thicker, with less show-through.

    Sugar cane paper with a substantial feel.

    Mineral paper in a water-repellent notepad.

    Double wire loops let the cover fold all the way back, so it works on a lap or a lectern.

    Stitched through the spine: light, flexible and slim enough for any bag.

    Rings let the notebook fold back, and on refillable models pages can be swapped.

    Cork Cork is the bark of the cork oak: light, warm and naturally textured.

    Stone paper 80% mineral powder bound with 20% HDPE: tree-free paper that feels velvety smooth.

    Sugar cane Paper made with 80% sugar cane fibre, at 90 g/m².

    Tea leaves A cover made from 65% tea leaf waste and 35% cotton waste, with cotton paper inside.

    Seed paper Pages to write on and seeds to plant: GROW comes with sowing seeds, a different kind for each colour.

    Bamboo A hard bamboo cover on a twin-wire notebook with kraft paper pages.

    Recycled felt Felt made from recycled PET (rPET), soft and warm to the touch.

    Whiteboard pages Write with a marker, wipe clean and use again. Notes can be scanned.

    Why paper still matters

    In a 2024 EEG study of 36 university students, brain connectivity patterns were far more elaborate when writing by hand than when typing on a keyboard (Van der Weel and Van der Meer, Frontiers in Psychology).
